Tiger Express Motorsports was created back in July 2009 by Yann Laprevotte and Chris Wilkinson, in order to compete in the Formula Junior championship. After a very satisfacting 2nd place gained in the teams’ championship, Yann decided to carry on with Tiger Express, turning it into an “international league alliance”, after he needed a structure to compete in NDR’s LFSCART Light Winter Series and the FWD Crapbox League with his mate Lims Chebbi.
Since then, Tiger Express got involved in several leagues, including the RACCAR, the FOX on the Run Series the LFS Endurance Series, and NDR’s famous endurance league, the Grand Touring Amateur League(GTAL). During these times, we had the opportunity to grow up nicely. We were glad to be able to collaborate with more than 15 people in those leagues, and to have among us three ex-IGTC drivers, and three current MoE drivers(Nicolas Vallée, Tommy Ostgaard and Timo Hofer), who all brought more professionalism into the team, and helped us to gain better results.
After getting a website, a server, and getting a stable squad, it turned out that there was an opportunity to go further. This is why, on February 19th 2010, we decided to submit an application to LFSW in order to become an official team.
